Well, human skin sheds itself every few weeks, a process known as ‘Skin Cell Turnover’. Through this process new cells replace old dead cells and that’s how our skin stays fresh and healthy!
This process is going on our entire body, its just that we don’t see it happening as these cells are shed constantly when the newer cells from the basal layer push themselves upwards replacing the older ones. (These are then removed by friction or during bathing and washing).
